January's Focus: GOALS AND SELF REFLECTION

Wednesday, October 31, 2018 - 10:33

Hello Homebase Students and Families!

Happy New Year and Welcome Back!  We hope you and your family enjoyed the holiday season and winter break.

January’s Homebase focus at Lake Middle School is “Goals and Self-Reflection” and many of our class discussions and activities will support that focus!  This theme is directly tied in to reflecting on our current progress and setting goals for the new year!  Our theme is supported by our “Top 20” initiative and Homebase curriculum which will reinforce the message of “See the Problem, Own the Problem.”  As we reflect on our actions and interactions, if we see something that needs to be improved we want to support each other to “own” the effort and initiative it will take to resolve those identified problems or challenges.  This supports personal responsibility on behalf of each of us in our work and play!  In the weeks ahead, we will participate in a variety of activities during Homebase that will support setting personal goals or “resolutions” for the New Year!

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact your child's Homebase teacher!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

“If you want to live a happy life, tie it to a goal, not to people or things.”  By- Albert Einstein
