2019 Scholastic Book Fair

The Lake Middle School Scholastic Book Fair runs from November 15-22. Lake's Book Fair is a great way to support our school while also supporting your family's readers. Over 55% of our sales come back to us in Scholastic Dollars that we can spend on books and educational magazines for our students.

LMS Book Fair Hours:

Fri, Nov. 15 - 7:15am-2:40pm

Mon, Nov. 18 - 7:15am-3pm

Tues, Nov. 19 - 7:15am-7:45pm (Conference night)

Wed, Nov. 20 - 7:15am-3pm

Thurs, Nov. 21 - 7:15am-7:45pm (Conference night)

Fri, Nov. 22 - 7:15-11am

The book fair will also be open before the Snow White Variety Show performance nights on November 14-16 from 6-7pm.

Can't make it to the Book Fair? You can still support Lake by purchasing books online. At the same time, get some early holiday shopping done! The online bookstore (see the link below) will be open 24/7 from November 9-22. Enjoy a larger, expanded selection of books for all ages. And new this year, all orders ship home (with free shipping on orders of $25 or more)!

BACK THIS YEAR! Take advantage of the convenience of eWallet. Give students a secure, cash-free way to shop the fair. There is no charge to set up an eWallet. Parents simply create an account and authorize a spending limit on their credit card. You will only be charged for what is purchased. At school, students simply tell the cashier their grade, teacher, or name to process their purchases. eWallets do no have to be printed or presented to the cashier. Give this new and convenient cash-free option a try and sign up by visiting the online bookstore:

HAT DAY: November 22 - GET YOUR WRISTBAND

Lake students and staff are invited to wear a hat to school on Friday, Nov. 22. Hat day participants must purchase a $1 wristband to participate. Students are eligible to enter their name into a drawing for a free book. 5 winners will be drawn after the fair ends. Proceeds from the wrist bands go to the Book Fair's "All for Books" promotion. Wristbands can only be purchased at the book fair between Nov. 15-22.

WE NEED VOLUNTEERS!

If you are able to volunteer for a shift (or more!) you will receive a $5 credit towards a book purchase. Please click on the link below to view the online sign-up sheet. (Most of the volunteer slots are very short - they scheduled to coincide with class periods, so teachers can take a shift here and there. Parent volunteers are welcomed (encouraged!) to take multiple shifts. If you haven't worked at a Book Fair before, don't worry! It's easy! There are simple instructions at the register, as well as an online tutorial you can review before your shift.

Volunteers are needed for many book fair shifts. Sign up here to volunteer: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/70a0f4dadad2ba0fd0-20192
